Why Rooted in Love Farmstead?

Eight years ago, God gave me a vision for a logo and a name: Rooted in Love. It was one of those moments that was clear as day. The only part I added later was Farmstead.

At the time, the vision didn’t seem to fit our life. We didn’t own land. We didn’t have farm animals, a garden, or a homestead. We weren’t even foster parents yet. To be honest, I wasn’t sure the vision was meant for me at all.

But God was writing a story I couldn’t yet see.

Over the years, our family stepped into the world of foster care. We had the privilege of fostering children in two different counties and successfully reunifying five precious children with their families. One little girl captured our hearts so deeply that, seven years later, we are still honored to be her Godparents.

Fostering changed us forever. It stretched us, humbled us, and taught us what it truly means to love sacrificially. It rooted our family more deeply in compassion, faith, and purpose.

Around that same time, another dream began to grow. Five years ago, we purchased land and started our farmsteading journey. We learned to care for animals, grow food, and steward the blessings God had placed in our hands. Then, about two years ago, we felt God leading us to close our home to fostering. While we knew our role in foster care was changing, we also knew our heart for children and families would never go away.

All along, I had been carrying another dream; launching this business.

For years, I have been formulating products, sharing them with friends and family, and receiving feedback. What brings me the greatest joy is knowing that so many of our products carry a piece of our farm. From fresh goat milk and garden grown ingredients to herbs and botanicals we lovingly cultivate, every product reflects the care and stewardship we pour into our homestead.

At Rooted in Love Farmstead, we believe that what you put on your body matters. We take pride in raising our animals well, growing what we can, and creating products with intention and integrity.

Most of all, we believe that everything is truly rooted in love. The Bible verses that support our mission are taken from the book of Ephesians Chapter 3 verses 14-19 
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
